Jaipur International Airport is located in the southern suburb of Sanganer, which is located 13 km (8.1 mi) from Jaipur. It is the 13th busiest airport in India in daily scheduled flight operations. The airport was granted the status of international airport on 29 December 2005. Jaipur Airport also provides air cargo services. About Jaipur

Jaipur is the capital and the largest city of the north-western Indian state of Rajasthan. Located 268 km (167 miles) from the national capital New Delhi, Jaipur is also known as the Pink City due to the dominant color scheme of its buildings in old city.

Jaipur was founded by and named after Sawai Jai Singh II, the Kachhwaha Rajput ruler of Amer. During the British colonial period, the city served as the capital of Jaipur State. It is one of the earliest planned cities and a popular tourist destination in India, forming a part of the west Golden triangle tourist circuit along with Delhi and Agra. Amber Fort – Located high on a hill, the Amer Fort or the Amber Fort is the principal tourist attraction in Jaipur and a great example of Rajput architecture. Known for its artistic style elements, the fort overlooks Maota Lake with its large ramparts and series of gates and cobbled paths. Constructed of red sandstone and marble, the attractive, opulent palace is laid out on four levels, each with a courtyard.
City Palace – The City Palace is a royal residence and former administrative headquarters of the rulers of the Jaipur State. The construction of the Palace was completed in 1732 and it was also the location of religious and cultural events, as well as a patron of arts, commerce, and industry. It now has several buildings, various courtyards, galleries, restaurants, museums, and continues to be the home of the Jaipur royal family.
Jal Mahal – The Jal Mahal, literally the Water Palace, is a palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur. The palace was originally constructed around 1699 and enlarged in the early 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. The palace is an architectural showcase of the Rajput style of architecture on a grand scale.
Hawa Mahal - Known as the "palace of winds", the Hawa Mahal was built from red and pink sandstone in 1799 on the edge of the City Palace, Jaipur, and extends to the Zenana, or women's chambers. Its five-floor exterior is akin to a honeycomb with its 953 small windows called Jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework. The original intent of the lattice design was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life and festivals celebrated in the street below without being seen. This architectural feature also allowed cool air from the Venturi effect to pass through, thus making the whole area more pleasant during the high temperatures in summer.
